I truly believe that we are designed to thrive when we live mindfully and in alignment with nature.

Eating nutrient-rich foods, spending time outside, wearing natural materials and body care, connecting with community, and growing spiritually, are all essential pillars to our health & wellness.

Which is why you’ll either find me in the kitchen creating nourishing recipes, barefoot in the woods, or yapping about holistic living.

My Story

I was born and raised in Long Island, New York– where convenience culture runs rampant, and the hustle and bustle is constant. As I grew older, I grew closer to nature, to spirituality, to femininity, and to the power of food as our medicine. I wanted to exit the boss babe culture, tune into my body, and learn how to nourish myself deeply through everything and anything. 

Dealing with hormonal imbalances most of my life, I was on the quest to heal my body through food. I’ve tried every diet under the sun– from years of veganism, low-carb, gluten-free and more– meanwhile my body was still struggling to heal. I couldn’t understand why my symptoms were getting worse when I was eating the “healthiest” I ever have…

This led me to look towards our ancestors for the answers. The nutrient-rich foods they consumed, the tight-knit communities they lived in, their inseparable bond with nature and their spiritual pursuits in life, is what has allowed humans to thrive since ancient times.

Meanwhile nowadays, our lives are filled with convenience, the next trendy diet, toxic ingredients in almost everything we come in contact with, and a lack of connection to nature and our own bodies. It’s no wonder we’re more sick, depressed, and infertile than ever before.

On my never ending quest for true health and wellness, I’ve learned that there are many different elements that need to be in harmony for healing to occur. Eating nourishing, ancestral foods, having close community to laugh and bond with, spending time in nature, being in tune with our bodies, and slowing down to be present and grateful for our lives, are all essential pieces in our healing journeys. 

Which is exactly why I created this blog! To share nourishing recipes, dive deep into holistic wellness, and learn how to live a rich and meaningful life– together.
